Digital Communications 11 will focus on providing students with a foundation in a variety of technology skills and the use of technology as a tool for digital communications. Through examples in social media, online marketing, digital journalism, and other technology platforms, we will explore topics on digital design principles and digital communications including topics such as basic design principles, social impact, risks, ethics & legalities, and career opportunities. Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, HTML (web design), Dreamweaver, iMovie, GarageBand and an introduction to personal ePortfolio design may be included. This course is ideal for all students that are interested in being creative with technology, using it as a tool for communications and creating their own digital portfolio collection of documents, visuals, graphics and design work such as websites, infographics, promotional materials, videos, blogs and coding.
