The BC curriculum “the aim of Social Justice 12 is to raise students’ awareness of social injustice, to enable them to analyse situations from a social justice perspective, and to provide them with knowledge, skills, and an ethical framework to advocate for a socially just world.”

Course Objectives:

The goals of Social Justice 12 are to enable students to

  • Acquire knowledge that allows them to recognize and understand the causes of injustice

  • Apply critical thinking and ethical reasoning skills to a variety of social justice issues

  • Develop an understanding of what it means to act in a socially just manner

  • Become responsible agents of change, making positive contributions toward a socially just world
