The BC curriculum “the aim of Social Justice 12 is to raise students’ awareness of social injustice, to enable them to analyse situations from a social justice perspective, and to provide them with knowledge, skills, and an ethical framework to advocate for a socially just world.”
Course Objectives:
The goals of Social Justice 12 are to enable students to
Acquire knowledge that allows them to recognize and understand the causes of injustice
Apply critical thinking and ethical reasoning skills to a variety of social justice issues
Develop an understanding of what it means to act in a socially just manner
Become responsible agents of change, making positive contributions toward a socially just world
