A modular survey course is offered in term 1 covering an introduction to applied digital communication, digital media development and computer programming. In applied digital communication students will create exciting web page using pure HTML, Graphic Converter and Fireworks (used to create simple graphical buttons to sophisticated roll-over effects). In digital media development students will explore the iLife suite, (iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes, iChat, iDvd and GarageBand), Flash MX animation. In computer programming students will learn the basics of programming using RealBasic. For the second term students can choose an intermediate level in two of the three areas already introduced. This course meets the Applied Skills 11 requirement.
